All of us suffer. At some moment in your life, you have gone through some sort of suffering. If you haven’t, then it’s around the corner. There’s no escaping it. When suffering comes, how will you handle it?

That is a question that I had to resolve to answer early on in our journey after Michele’s stroke. I had to ask the question to myself, “How am I going to respond to this?” With the boys, with Michele, all leaning on me for strength, where was I going to have the strength to for me?

There is no doubt, that my answer to that question was drawing on the STRENGTH and POWER from the Lord. Without Him supplying my everything, I don’t know how I would’ve done it; I wouldn’t have been able to. On top of this, I knew that if I didn’t respond well, the effect it would have on our boys would be long lasting, in a negative way.

So I made a DECISION. That decision drove me to be the best I could be for my family. Believe me, some days were ugly. I vividly remember one day, just a few days after Michele went down, I broke. I was struggling so bad. I was snapping at the kids. I fell on my knees and started bawling. Easton, who was only five then, came to me and gave me a hug. He was the one I was snapping at. I believe God gave him the wisdom, at a young age, to minister to me. He cried with me. We held each other. We grew from that time.

Now, over 2 ½ years since the stroke, I have a vision. I believe I wouldn’t have this vision if Michele didn’t have the stroke. It’s a tricky thing, you know. Of course, I wish the stroke didn’t happen. It makes everything very hard. Everything changed from it. But, through this suffering, our story has spoken to many people. I believe we are only at the beginning of sharing our story. My vision includes being able to speak to many people and having an impact on their lives. My vision includes speaking to people about Jesus and how He fulfills His promise of never forsaking us.

On 12/20/19, I joined a company that I believe, will give me that platform to be able to impact others in the ways I described. This company gives me the tools that I need to grow; to become the person I was created to be. This company inspires me to help others. This company inspires me to keep going.

We are currently in the midst of a medical, social, and financial upheaval with the COVID-19 pandemic. We are truly in unprecedented times. In March of 2020, the number of unemployed people rose from 1.4 million to 7.1 million!

I have so much compassion for those people struggling financially. The amount of alcohol and drug abuse has skyrocketed, as well as domestic violence. On top of struggling financially, people don’t have their usual outlets as most places are closed. This is where I believe my vision comes in to play. With this business, I am able to help people build their own. To that end, I am so excited at the opportunity to be able to bless people. By being able to help them and be a blessing to them, I will also be blessed.
