About a week after the stroke that changed everything for us, I received a call from KOIN6, one of the local news affiliates. Crazily, they got ahold of our story and wanted to interview me. One of the gals at church decided to hold a garage sale in which all proceeds would go directly to us for any future needs we may have. She did an amazing job. She got the word out and people from all over the city came to donate their belongings. I wasn’t able to be there for most of the garage sale as I was in the hospital with Michele. But when I arrived at the sale, I was immediately taken to tears. I was so overwhelmed with the love and support that was flooding my family. Kara even called KOIN6 to let them know.

So I agreed to do the interview. I agreed because just in the very short amount of time, our family was being ministered to in ways unimaginable; I wanted to get the word out of hope. Hope that whatever you may be going through at the time, God is in control. If anyone knows what’s it like to suffer…to withstand longsuffering…we do. Yet our Lord knows exactly what we need during any given time. Whether if it was a phone call or someone stopping by the house with bags of gifts for the boys, the Lord met our needs, and then some.

Here’s the link to the KOIN6 page that talks more about our story and the interview itself. Please head on over and be encouraged. https://www.koin.com/news/calm-steadfast-boy-called-911-kept-mom-alive/
